Start-up sibling swallows SupplyScape
Tracelink, a developer of supply chain traceability and business-process collaboration solutions, has acquired SupplyScape's E-Pedigree and Product Authentication product-traceability solutions, in addition to the Nexus collaboration platform. TraceLink was created in July by the founders of SupplyScape.
"TraceLink's vision is to help companies gain real-time visibility into the authenticity and accountability of each step in the business processes executed by their supply chain partners," says Shabbir Dahod, president and CEO, in an announcement. Dahod is also a venture partner at FirstMark Capital, a chief Tracelink investor.
Dahod adds that the new company is "dedicated to fully supporting SupplyScape customers." Among them is repackager Apace Packaging, which last February implemented the Nexus and E-Pedigree platforms to help address the drug pedigree data and interoperability repackaging requirements of key customers.
TraceLink says it will leverage SupplyScape technology "to provide a strong foundation in pursuit of our larger pharmaceutical traceability vision."
