Nepal is still waiting for swine flu vaccine. Manufacturers are "unable to produce the required amount of vaccine that they had pledged," says Nirmal Kandel of the World Health Organization. "The delay in production of the vaccine by the manufacturing company has delayed the shipment."

WHO had promised the South Asian country enough Pandemic Influenza A vaccine for about 10 percent of its 31 million citizens by late January, according to a local press report. The first shipments are now expected in March.

Nepal may want to look to Europe and the manufacturers it chose for the swine flu vaccine. France was trying to unload millions of doses last month, as reported. Likewise with Germany and Spain.
