GSK recovers one of two stolen trailers
GPS tracking has led to the recovery of one of two trailer loads of products that GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) lost to thieves in late June, according to Securing Pharma. The thefts, which occurred in Pennsylvania, are estimated at a combined $400,000.
The recovered trailer was found in New Jersey, with about two-thirds of its contents. The second trailer is still missing.
Both trailers were carrying personal care products, rather than the more highly prized prescription drugs. Thieves initially moved the trailers to a logistics provider site, stole a tractor fitted with the GPS device, and drove one of the trailers away.
