Funds support local vaccine-making

Vietnam and other countries are in line to get their own vaccine manufacturing capabilities, thanks to PATH, the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health. The international nonprofit is receiving $8 million from HHS's Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority to assist in the production and clinical development of influenza vaccines, a step toward building local production capacity in developing countries.
